Mt. Pamitinan Day Climb: Budget + Itinerary + Guide

It's about time 2018 to get out of my comfort zone. Never have I been entertained by hurting my thighs and legs hiking up the mountain just to make it on top. I didn't understand why mountaineers love climbing not until the day I did. I live in the beautiful place of Rizal, known for great mountain ranges. Thus, I told myself "Why not?" I didn't have much time to prepare my body that much but I guess my will was stronger.

SMART GUIDE & TIPS

* Start hike body and mind ready to avoid cramps and muscle tears.

* Follow and listen to the tour guide's instruction.

* Ready supplies like rubber gloves for protection against the sharp stones and limestones.

* Bring extra shirts to change. Heavy sweating is expected.

* Bring small towels and light jacket. Early morning hike will be cold.

* Bring and apply mosquito repellent.

* Wear closed sneakers with socks.

* Bring a bottle of water to quench each time. But don't overload. There are stations there.

* Hike, climb, crawl, squat, grope. You do all these to make it on top.

* Have something to cover your head against the heat.

* Pack light above all. Too much on the back will add to the load.
